Hoffman Wellness Collective, Inc. (501c3)

We are a group of active, engaged community members working to improve health and longevity for Herkimer County residents. Our focus is funding projects that support outdoor recreation, inclusive fitness opportunities, and equity in youth sports. HWC develops initiatives that meet people where they are—whether it’s on a bike, in the gym, or out in the park—providing opportunities for individuals of all ages to thrive.
Our programs are designed to make wellness accessible, fun, and meaningful. Ready to Ride restores and donates bicycles to local youth, encouraging independence, outdoor activity, and lifelong habits of movement. Go & Grow brings together art, mindfulness, and active play in a summer program that sparks creativity and builds resilience in kids across the Mohawk Valley. 315 FitFirst supports the mental and physical wellbeing of first responders, providing a space for connection, strength, and self-care for those who give so much to our community.
Through each of these initiatives, Hoffman Wellness Collective is committed to fostering health, joy, and community—empowering people to move, grow, and support one another. By blending fitness, creativity, and connection, we’re creating a healthier Mohawk Valley today, while planting seeds of wellness for generations to come.

Go & Grow Summer Series
This summer, thanks to generous support from The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, HWC’s Go & Grow program bloomed across our community. Rooted in mindfulness, art, and movement, Go & Grow offered kids a chance to experience wellness in action—whether flowing through yoga, meeting animal friends from the Utica Zoomobile, planting gardens with Cornell Cooperative Extension, learning new skills at pickleball lessons, or expressing creativity through arts & crafts. Each activity encouraged kids to move, create, and reflect, building resilience, joy, and healthy habits that will continue to grow long after summer ends

Ready to Ride
HWC’s Ready to Ride program gives new life to donated bicycles—repairing and refurbishing them so they can be placed in the hands of local kids. More than just a ride, a bike is a gateway to health: building strength, balance, and endurance, while also encouraging time outdoors, independence, and joyful movement. By connecting youth with safe, working bikes, we’re helping to cultivate lifelong habits of physical activity and wellness—one ride at a time.
How to Donate:
Do you have an unused or unneeded bicycle? You can donate your bike and share the joy of riding with another family in your community! Donating is easy:
1. Email us or give us a call to arrange a dropoff or pickup. Call (617) 947-0438, or email us at movement315@gmail.com.
2. Drop off your bike at one of our convenient drop-off locations (listed below).
Please note: donated bicycles should be in good condition (all parts working, minimal rust). Our volunteers will make minor repairs—like replacing tires, seats, or grips; adjusting brakes or gears; and giving each bike a thorough cleaning—so they’re safe and ready to ride.
Dropoff Locations:
- HWC Headquarters - 118 John St. in Ilion

315 FitFirst
Coming Soon! HWC’s 315 FitFirst is a peer-led wellness initiative created to support the mental and physical wellbeing of our region’s first responders. Through fitness, connection, and camaraderie, participants strengthen both body and mind—building resilience, reducing stress, and fostering a sense of community with others who serve. By prioritizing health together, 315 FitFirst empowers first responders to care for themselves as they care for our community. Follow us for future announcements about this program.

First Responders Summit
In March of 2026, we held our first Hoffman Wellness Collective First Responders Summit —a focused day of practical tools for improving the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of first responders
We connected with peers, learned simple strategies to manage stress, and heard from wellness professionals who understand the demands of frontline work.
